The most commonly used camera today is not a compact, nor a reflex camera.  It’s the cell phone camera. The development of photo apps for mobile phones has paradoxically given new life to the film camera styles of the past. By processing the images through digital filters and reformatting them in a square, they take on the intemporal ambiance of cinema. Benjamin Vergély has worked to bring the Principality of Monaco into a new focus through these modern lenses.
